Black Friday Deals For Our Neighbors
November 27, 2013Phishing Emails: How to Avoid Phishing Scams
February 12, 2014Howdy Neighbors. The hackers are at it again.
If you’re a Comcast customer, please change your password! On February 6, 2014, the hacking group NullCrew FTS hacked into Comcast servers. The group tweeted that “34 Comcast mail servers are victims to one exploit”.
Comcast has since released a statement, with language minimizing the threat; however, Neighborhood Nerds advises our clients to change your passwords immediately. The admin Comcast account has access to sensitive billing information, online services, and other user accounts. We strongly advocate using a different password than ones used for other accounts, such as email, shopping, and online banking services.
Here is Comcast’s guide for changing your account password.
Please call us at 865-622-2422 or email support@nnerd.com for help with your Comcast account and other tech quandaries. We’re on your side. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest Nerd Alerts.
Sincerely,
The Neighborhood Nerds
